Kokusai
Jujutsu Renmei
Many Jujutsu techniques rely on the principle of striking
an opponent to stun him followed by a throw or restraint of some kind,
but even within Jujutsu there is a vast diversity of styles and methods.
Two of the schools studied within the KJJR are Asayama Ichiden Ryu and
Kukishin Ryu.
Asayama Ichiden Ryu's first stage concentrates on Wrist-locking patterns,
the practice of which will develop strength in the wrists and the ability
to break strong grabs. Kukishin Ryu on the other hand incorporates many
throwing techniques, which rely on breaking the opponent’s balance
making it difficult for him to resist being thrown.
What’s the difference between Ninpo & Jujutsu?
Jujutsu and Ninpo Taijutsu are very similar in the sense that they are
both complete and effective systems of Martial Arts. There is a slight
difference in feel to them however when compared. This is hard to describe
in words and is best left to the students to experience and assimilate
for themselves. The reason for the difference is that the founders of
the various schools were different people with a different emphasis
on the various aspects of a particular school and of course each school
developed its own spirit as it grew over the years.
Most students practice both systems as they both have something to offer,
but it is up to the individuals preference.
